Cs50's Commitment to Healthy Gaming

As an entertainment platform serving the Malaysian community, cs50 takes this social responsibility seriously. We believe every user deserves a safe, controlled gaming experience that does not disrupt the balance of their daily life.

Online gaming should be an enjoyable form of entertainment — not a source of financial or emotional stress. cs50 provides a range of tools and guidance to help users stay in control, and we encourage responsible, mindful use of the platform at all times.

We are also committed to not directing marketing at individuals who may be vulnerable to gambling-related harm, and to always providing clear information about the risks associated with online gaming to all registered users.

Recognise the Warning Signs

It is important to recognise early warning signs before things get worse. The following behaviours may indicate that your platform usage needs to be reviewed:

Playing Beyond Your Means

Using money meant for daily necessities such as food, rent, or bills for gaming purposes is a serious warning sign that needs to be addressed immediately.

Difficulty Stopping

Finding it difficult to stop playing even when you intended to, or constantly thinking about gaming while doing other things.

Sudden Emotional Changes

Feeling severely stressed, angry, or lost when unable to play, or using gaming as a primary escape from life's problems.

Neglecting Social Relationships

Significantly cutting back time with family and friends, or being dishonest with loved ones about how much time and money you have spent on gaming.

Chasing Losses

Repeatedly playing to "chase" losses, which often leads to even greater losses and a cycle that becomes hard to break.

Borrowing Money to Play

Borrowing money from family, friends, or financial institutions specifically to fund continued play is a sign that immediate action is needed.

Self-Control Tools Available to cs50 Users

Cs50 provides several self-control mechanisms that users can activate at any time through their account or by contacting our support team. Use of these tools is entirely voluntary and designed to help users stay in control.

Deposit Limit

Users can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits in MYR (RM) to control how much can be added to their account. Limits take effect immediately, and any request to increase them is subject to a cooling-off period to ensure the decision is made with a clear head.

Cooling-Off Period

Users who need a break from the platform can activate a cooling-off period of 24 hours, seven days, or 30 days. During this time, the account will be inaccessible for any gaming activity, giving you time and space to rest and reassess your gaming habits.

Self-Exclusion

For users who feel they need a longer break from playing, a self-exclusion option can be requested through the cs50 support team at [email protected]. An exclusion period can be set, and the account will be fully deactivated for the duration.

Guide to Setting Realistic Time and Budget Limits

One of the most effective ways to enjoy online gaming responsibly is to set clear limits before starting a session. cs50 encourages all users to practise the following steps:

  • Set a dedicated budget for entertainment — Set an RM amount you are comfortable spending on entertainment each month, just like any other leisure expense such as cinema tickets or dining out.
  • Never play with money set aside for necessities — Money for bills, rent, food, healthcare, and emergency savings must not be touched for gaming purposes.
  • Set a time limit for each playing session — Decide how long you will play before you start and stick to that limit, even when things seem to be going your way.
  • Regular breaks are important — Take a break of at least 10 minutes for every hour of play to maintain focus and a clear perspective.
  • Track your usage — Review your account transaction history regularly to track how much you have spent and stay accountable to your own budget.
  • Don't play when you're stressed or tired — Decisions made when you're emotionally unstable or physically exhausted tend to be less sound and can lead to regret.

Minor Protection

Cs50 strictly prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from registering or using any of its platform services. The registration process requires age verification, and cs50 reserves the right to request identity documents at any time to ensure compliance with this minimum age requirement.

If you are a parent or guardian concerned that a child or someone in your care may be accessing online gambling platforms, here are some steps you can take:

  • Install parental control software on all devices used by children at home.
  • Make sure your online account password is kept secure and not shared with anyone.
  • Have an open conversation with your children about the risks of gambling and how to manage money responsibly.
  • Contact the cs50 support team immediately if you suspect your account has been accessed by a minor.

Cs50 takes age restriction violations very seriously. Any account confirmed to be owned or accessed by a minor will be terminated immediately, and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with applicable Malaysian law.

Maintaining Life Balance and Seeking Professional Help

Healthy online gaming is gaming that does not interfere with your work, family, health, or finances. cs50 encourages users to always prioritise life's core responsibilities and treat gaming as one of many forms of entertainment — not the only one.

If you or someone you know is showing signs of problem gambling, it is important to seek professional help without delay. Problem gambling is a health issue that can be addressed with the right support. Some steps you can take:

  • Talk to a trusted family member or friend about what you are going through.
  • See a doctor or counsellor for a proper assessment and referral.
  • Reach out to a mental health helpline available in Malaysia for immediate support.
  • Contact the cs50 support team at [email protected] to activate self-exclusion or to find out more about local support resources.

Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. cs50 is always here for our users to ensure that your gaming experience remains positive and free from harm.
